Redhawk Awards Banquet

The Redhawks held their annual banquet on Thursday at The Abbington. As usual, The Abbington did a great job and a good time was had by all!

Highlights include:

The Redhawks presented a check in memory of Mary Zibutis for over $5200 to the Susan G. Komen foundation to help fight breast cancer. A special thanks goes to Sue Wenkel and Redhawk players for their dedication and hard work.

NCHS principal Jim Caudill and Metro West president Jim McKeague attended to present awards to the Honor Roll students. The Redhawks had the most Honor Roll students than any other team in Metro West!

The Redhawks are the winner of the high school 2008 IHOA Sportsmanship Award. The Redhawks were selected by the on-ice officials for displaying good sportsmanship, integrity and fair play from all of their teams, staff and spectators during the past season.

Redhawk award winners include: Caleb Rowe and James Hum - Redhawk Award; Bryan Lorenz - Most Valuable Redhawk; AJ Lee - Most Improved Redhawk.

2008-2009  Board Announced. President - Dave Gary ; Board Members: Mike Fabbri, Wayne Joza, Kim Igielski, Brian Meek and Steve Wenkel. A special thanks to outgoing board members Ben Hum and Art Burns and former RHA President Ken Rowe for your dedication throughout the years!

Congratulations to both teams for a great year! Many thanks go to the volunteers who organized this fabulous event.

The RHA is seeking a volunteer (parent) for the Redhawks Junior Varsity team news reporter, please contact the RHA board for more information. Qualifications include dedication to hockey and minimal creative writing skills. 

Congratulations James Hum - Metro West President's Award

James Hum is the winner of the coveted 2007-2008 Metro West President's Award! This is the second year in a row that a Redhawk player has captured this prestigious award. Kendall Swanson being the 2006-2007 honored recipient.
