2008-2009 High School Invitational Windy City Tournament LinkJunior Varsity Tournament Schedule Junior Varsity Tournament Standings
HIT 2007-2008 Final Tournament Results HIT 2006-2007 Final Tournament Results The High School Invitational Tournament is a compilation of 13 pure high school teams. There are no combined teams or prep schools in the Tournament. Teams are invited to participate based on a majority decision by the other participants. The participants look for diversity from their normal leagues, respect the integrity of the team (and often times have a winning tradition), but this is not as important as the other criteria. League affiliation is looked at so there is a relatively equal sampling from all the various leagues. The participants play one another once in a round robin or playdown format. Each team is awarded two points for a win and one point for a tie. The top four with the highest point total after the round robin will then advance to the Tournament. What participants hope to gain from this experience is to promote high school hockey by creating interest in a season long tournament. Teams have the opportunity to compete against teams they might not normally have had a chance to play during a regular season. New rivalries develop. The hope is to increase the exposure of this tournament and draw the attention of College and Junior Scouts to help promote the players themselves.
